Upcoming child dedication . . .

Crystal was 7 weeks this past Sunday, and has climbed to 9lbs 10 oz. She now has her very own spot in the Sunday-School nursery, and is going to be dedicated on Sunday, April 15 (service starts at 11:00).

Hospital update . . .

Unfortunately, Connie didn't respond to the first round of antibiotics, so they switched her to a new one on Friday, and her temperature has come back down. Her chest infection has not subsided, however an ultrasound has determined there are no abscesses (which means no need for a Dr. to do any draining with a large-bore needle). If all goes well, Connie should discontinue her IV, and be out of hospital Sunday. She'll continue antibiotics at home. Thanks so much to everybody for putting us on your prayer-chains, and for all your help.

A wee setback . . .

Unfortunately, Connie has developed another chest infection, which has spread to her bloodstream. Kind of frustrating. She went to the walk-in clinic on Thurs. night, and found another case of mastitis, with her temp. at 104. Connie is on IV antibiotics, and is lodging at Cambridge Hospital along with husband & baby.

P.S. Kitty is up to her 4th mouse. Her latest victim met it's end in one of our traps, which JD decided to proudly carry upstairs, and parade in front of company . . . again.

I bring gifts . . .

Ah yes... nothing sweeter than a thoughtful gift - unless it's from J.D. (our cat). Thanks JD for hauling a live mouse up to the bathroom - twice in the last week. Thanks to the kitty for playing with her new friend by chasing it around in the bathtub for a good chunk of the day. And of course, for JD's final touch, waited for Connie to have company over, then proceeded to bring a third mouse upstairs in her mouth - with the trap still attached and swinging from the body. How charming . . .
