Crystal's first trip to the lake . .

Crystal's first trip to the lake!! We spent a couple of hours at Shade's Mills conservation area, where we took her swimming for the first time - outside a swimming pool! Crystal was most taken with the trees though - and promptly shoved one of these leaves into her mouth ...

Oh no, a student again . . .

Just a quick update: I've gone back to school. It's only part-time (Distance Ed.), but I'm starting in the Arts program at University of Waterloo this September. I picked up my student card this Saturday, and when I went for my picture, the girl at the camera just sat there waiting . . "I'm sorry sir, I just thought you were waiting for your daughter". Wow . . . now that's a first . .!

Updates . . .

Umm . . . it's been a little while since we've blogged; and alot has happened since. We've been a bit distracted!

• Since we've last blogged, Connie and I both have "Facebook" accounts now. Even Marg, Greg & Ferol are on Facebook. So look us up if you're on!
  
• We've been busy with some repairs to the house recently. Mom & Jim were up in June, and graciously helped us with some plumbing, electrical, and helped/taught how to install a ceramic floor in the basement. Crystal will finally have a full room to play in! The blue stuff on the floor is basically a liquid rubber sealer designed for basement floors. The ceramic tile is mortared directly over it. For those who had seen it, there was a large shelf which hid a foundation half-wall. It's been removed, and replaced with a new, smaller shelf. Okay, not all that exciting, but it is when you consider the avalanche of baby toys threatening to take over the house!
