Myrtle Beach: Videos

A safe arrival in Myrtle Beach . . .

Well, Connie and I have made it safely to Myrtle Beach! We left Friday morning, and made it as far as Charleston, West Virginia where we spent the night. The drive down was gorgeous, with lots of tree-covered mountains in the clouds. For some weird reason, Ferol's cell wouldn't function in W.V., but came back online about 30 secs. after crossing the state line into Virginia. Our next day brought us through Virginia, N. Carolina and S. Carolina (about 9 hrs. each day with stops). We arrived in Myrtle Beach on Friday at 6:00pm; the weather was 23C, and our room is overlooking the ocean - oh yessss!! Crystal goes out for Halloween...

Crystal dressed up as a ladybug for the night. Mom took her trick-or-treating for the first time up and down Second Ave. Poor thing almost fell asleep on Mom as they came home. Below, Crystal dressed as an M&M for daycare.

Oh yes... I finally get inside a Ferrari

I'm really wishing I could show you a picture of this. I was at work last week when I saw a black Ferrari F430 Spyder convertible pull up beside the booth. The driver started revving the engine, and I was like "whatever". Then the driver came around to the front, all excited - he was one of my regulars at work; a really nice guy. He said he worked out an arrangement with the exotic car rental agency in Toronto. I asked if he would let me inside, and was more than happy. Kinda' neat, but hard to imagine it can be worth $450,000 (that's what he said it was worth)! Rental fee: $2,500/24hrs!
